The fonds consists of textual records and photographs created and collected by the Yukon Order of Pioneers (YOOP) and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Yukon Order of Pioneers.
The records are described in five series: Yukon Order of Pioneers (82/454), Grand Lodge (82/454, 83/31, 90/55), Dawson Lodge #1 (82/2, 82/398, 82/454, 85/47, 86/92), Whitehorse Lodge #2 (84/40, 94/139), and Ladies Auxiliary of the Yukon Order of Pioneers (97/59).
The series Yukon Order of Pioneers includes membership accounts, membership applications, membership registers and an index of members.
The series Grand Lodge includes by-laws, minutes, correspondence, and financial records.
The series Dawson Lodge #1 includes minutes, membership applications, membership accounts, and correspondence.
The series Whitehorse Lodge #2 includes membership applications and minutes.
The series Ladies Auxiliary of the Yukon Order of Pioneers consists of financial records 1971-1989.
Included in the series are seven b&w photographs collected by the YOOP.

Material donated by presidents of the Yukon Order of Pioneers (YOOP) beginning in 1974. Accession 97/59 was donated by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Yukon Order of Pioneers in 1997.

Records in 82/454 were borrowed from the YOOP in Dawson City by the Glenbow-Alberta Institute in June 1959 and microfilmed.
An 8 page printed program titled "Yukon Order of Pioneers. Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Klondike Gold Rush of '98 and Fifty-Second Anniversary of Discovery Day 1896 - Tuesday, Aug. 17 - 1948" (86/92) was transferred to the Yukon Archives imprint collection (PAM 1948-0044).
