|
This fonds consists of records created by George Shaw during his years on the municipal and territorial councils, 1957-1975. Included are correspondence, campaign and election records, newsletters, reports, minutes, photographs and maps relating to his involvement in the Dawson City council, Dawson Miner's Union, Dawson City hospital, Dawson City public library, Klondike Visitors Association, Territorial Council, and Progressive Conservative Association. There are series and item descriptions for the maps. The photographs include two images of a table top model of the proposed visitors observation centre on the Midnight Dome in Dawson City, a tintype of two men in winter clothing, and a card mounted image of three girls posing in a library.
