Scope and Content

The fonds consists of Anton Money's report of the 1943 Canol Pipeline survey trip, with accompanying photographs, as well as a variety of other photographs taken by Money of the north. The report was compiled from Money's diary for J. Gordon Turnbull and Sverdrup and Parcel, Architect Engineer, Canol Project. Fifty-two photographs accompany the report, while another 38 photographs are separate from the report but illustrate the survey project (84/76).

Fourteen photographs, 1925-1942, depict White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad snow plow cuts and train trestles, hydraulic mining operations at the mouth of Dominion Creek, Klondike Airways cat train in Whitehorse, Taylor, Drury & Pedlar General Store in Carmacks, Tahltan men poling boat-loads of furs on the Dease River, and a native beaver camp (80/46).

Also included in the fonds are 28 views of the equipment yard at Fort McMurray and Waterways for the Canol Project in 1942, Hoole Canyon, the Whitehorse to Dawson City mail stage, Frances River and Frances Lake, 1927-1948 (84/83).

In the last accession there are three views of a hydraulic mine operating on Dominion Creek in 1929, and one view of four sternwheelers in dry dock in Whitehorse for the winter, 1943 (87/52).

The fonds also contains a film taken by Money of trips he took in 1931, from Skagway to Whitehorse, then by dog sled to Frances Lake (84/83).
