|
The fonds consists of records of Whitehorse Copper Mines Ltd. (1971-1983) and its predecessor companies New Imperial Mines Ltd. (1957-1971) and Imperial Mines and Metals Ltd. (1954-1957). The fonds contains the following types of files: administrative and operational files, legal documents, mechanical and architectural drawings, and geological and exploration files. The files have been arranged in the following seven series: Imperial Mines and Metals Ltd.,1952-1967; New Imperial Mines Ltd.,1954-1973; Whitehorse Copper Mines Ltd., 1959-1982; Reports; Publications; Whitehorse Copper Mines Photographs; and Maps.

The majority of these files had been maintained in the company's head office in Vancouver, BC. Following the closure of the office in 1978, the files were shipped to Whitehorse for permanent storage.
