Scope and Content 

 

Fonds consists of photographs of George Carmack in his early years and of his parents, wife and family. Also includes images of Skookum Jim, Bob Henderson, Al Mayo and Bill McPhee, Dawson City, Whitehorse, Grand Forks and the Klondike Mines Railway. Many of the photographs were taken by commercial photographers Goetzman, Wolfe, Adams and Co., and Larss and Duclos.

Textual records include a biography of Al Johnson, and two newspaper articles about Yukon pioneers. The poster is announcing the opening of the Family Theatre in Dawson City, December 13, 1898.

Custodial History 

 

A few of the photographs were found in a box of papers belonging to Lulu Fairbanks who had acquired some of David E. Griffiths' papers. David E. Griffiths wrote newspaper articles about the Yukon Order of Pioneers.
